We offer a broad range of engineering services including sanitary and storm systems; roadway design and improvements; pump stations; box culverts; retaining walls; detention basins; dams; erosion prevention and sediment control; stream/wetland mitigation and restoration; floodplain studies using HEC-RAS, HEC-2, HMS, and HEC-1; FEMA map revisions, and Corps of Engineers 401 and 404 permitting.

MSA is highly experienced in sanitary lift station and force main design.  We are also experienced in obtaining approvals from the Kentucky Division of Water for borings and stream crossings, including Section 401 water quality certifications.  We also have significant experience working with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet to obtain necessary approvals for state roads.

Our firm has planned, designed, and developed construction, infrastructure, and utility plans for many private and public projects.  MSA has extensive experience in the evaluation of site distance and other critical parameters for existing roadways through our planning and design of numerous land development and urban redevelopment projects.  MSA staff have also designed roadways in Indiana and Kentucky, and performed master planning studies for public and private sector developments and communities in many states throughout the nation. 

MSA is one of the few engineering companies in the area to acquire SurvCADD technology to prepare engineering drawings and construction plans.  SurvCADD expedites the process of moving from preliminary design to detailed engineering plans to estimates of quantities and bid documents.  Compared to the previous generation of AutoCAD, MSA's technology is another factor that makes a "world of difference" in our services.

In addition to planning and design services, MSA's experience includes providing support throughout the construction process.  For many of our clients, MSA acts as the client’s representative handling such functions as bidding, review of contractor qualifications, review of pay requests and change orders, construction inspection, utility coordination, and bond releases.
