Steve Scott, PE, LSIT

A mentor to younger professionals on the Mindel Scott team, Steve earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Louisville in 1984. He has previously served as the staff engineer at Sabak, Wilson & Lingo, Inc. and project manager at Flynn Brothers Contracting, Inc. Steve was also the owner of Scott Engineering Services, Inc. He has served as Mindel Scott’s Principal and President from 1994 to 2021.

Steve has extensive experience in commercial and industrial design and construction, all phases of design/build development and construction and all phases of operating the engineering consulting firm. He enjoys working with clients to make sure that their projects are completed successfully and problem solving with the design team.

If you’re looking for Steve on a weekend, you’d better check Lake Cumberland first. If he’s not there, he’s likely playing golf, travelling or following UofL football and basketball. Steve’s father worked for the FBI in the mid 1960s, and alongside his partner, captured a top ten most-wanted fugitive in Oklahoma City, they even earned a $100 bonus and citation from J. Edgar Hoover, which is pretty cool.
