Amanda Smith, PE

Amanda earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Louisville in Civil Engineering. She has been with Mindel Scott since 2013 and has served as a Project Engineer, Project Manager, Director of Engineering, and now serves as Principal and President.

Amanda specializes in stormwater management and design, green management practices, project management, and organization. She has experience with both site and residential development and appreciates that her team can bring differing ideas and perspectives together to accomplish the same goal.

Amanda was honored to be named one of Louisville Business First’s 40 Under 40 in 2021 and Most Admired CEO in 2023. She has been a member of Vistage Worldwide, Inc. since 2018. She is also a member of the Louisville Chapter of the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE-KY), where she serves on the Board. She was awarded the NSPE-KY Young Professional of the Year award in 2023 for the Louisville Chapter. She also began sitting on the University of Louisville Civil Engineering Advisory Board in 2022.

In her free time, Amanda enjoys hanging out with her husband and two young children, volunteering at her church, and playing golf. A natural-born organizer and planner of pretty much anything, Amanda enjoys helping others with party planning, wedding planning, and any type of organization.
