Career Fair
On February 1st, 2019, Nathan Wright and Curtis Mucci, two of our Registered Landscape Architects, represented Mindel Scott at the University of Kentucky Department of Landscape Architecture’s Career Fair. Nathan and Curtis reviewed student portfolios and answered questions about the professional world of Landscape Architecture. They aimed to paint a realistic picture of the Landscape Architect’s role within a multi-disciplinary engineering firm; including planning and design, planting plans, grading plans, construction documents, project management, and the general approval process. Highlighted were several recent Mindel Scott projects which incorporated all of these elements such as the Louisville City Football Club Stadium, Oakland Hills Subdivision, Covington By The Park and One-Park, both multi-use developments. They not only reviewed portfolios, but also advised on areas for improvement and how soon-to-be graduates can better market themselves for job opportunities based on how they see themselves fitting into the professional world. Mindel Scott was there to not only represent our company and brand, but to also help guide the future success of the emerging generation of Landscape Architects.
