Mindel Scott offers a broad range of engineering services for both the private and public sectors, including sanitary and storm drainage systems, roadway design and improvements, sanitary sewer pump stations, box culverts, retaining walls, detention basins, dams, erosion prevention and sediment control, stream/wetlands mitigation and restoration, floodplain studies using HEC-RAS, HMS, FEMA map revisions, and Corps of Engineers 401 and 404 permitting.
Mindel Scott is highly experienced in sanitary lift station and force main design. We are also experienced in obtaining approvals from the Kentucky Division of Water for stream crossings/relocations and Floodplain modifications, including Section 401 water quality certifications. We also have significant experience working with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet to obtain necessary state approvals.
In recent years, Mindel Scott’s project volume has accounted for as much as 50% of residential lots, units, and developer-constructed public roads approved in Louisville Metro, as well as numerous public, commercial and industrial projects.

Our firm has planned, designed, and developed construction infrastructure, and utility plans for many private and public projects. Mindel Scott has extensive experience in the evaluation of site distance and other critical parameters for existing roadways through our planning and design of numerous land development and urban redevelopment projects. Mindel Scott’s staff have also designed roadways in Indiana and Kentucky and performed master planning studies for public and private sector developments and communities.
