Project Description:
Located in the Historic Butchertown Neighborhood of Louisville, this site is situated next to Interstate 64 and Interstate 71, adjacent to downtown. The site required street closures, the consolidation of several lots, floodplain compensation and special attention to existing utilities and infrastructure for relocation. The project consists of the 11,000+/- seat Louisville City FC Stadium complex with accessory buildings, a streetscape plan for the surrounding streets of Cabel Street, Adams Street and Franklin Street, and plans for mixed-use buildings. The mixed-use development plan included hotels, multi-family residential, retail, and corporate offices.
Mindel Scott’s Tasks:
Mindel Scott was responsible for the detailed site construction plans, traffic analysis studies, agency submittals, and additional survey work as required. The services included storm & sanitary design, site grading (including floodplain compensation), landscape design, utility coordination and relocation, right-of-way improvement plans, road closure plats, sanitary as-builts, minor plats, and miscellaneous easement plats.
