Project Description:
Carvana, based in Phoenix, Arizona, is an online used-car dealership. Carvana operates in 15 states in the U.S. since its launch in 2012. Carvana customers can finance, buy, trade-in, sell and browse vehicles all on the company’s website. Mindel Scott was enlisted as part of their design team for their Louisville location.

Mindel Scott’s Tasks:
Mindel Scott’s tasks for the Carvana site included modifying the existing property to accommodate a larger building structure and a new parking layout. Mindel Scott also designed a drainage system that improved drainage to the existing catch basins. The project also entailed providing a preliminary plan and assisting with variance and waiver requests and obtaining approvals. Mindel Scott also provided site construction plans to modify the existing site using the existing pavements, but removed existing islands and adjusted existing grades to improve drainage, the site’s lighting layout, as well as the landscape and tree preservation plan.
