Spca Volunteer Requirements
Accredited volunteers have access to our online platform where they can view available opportunities, register for shifts and track their hours. Unless otherwise stated, voluntary shift days and hours are fixed and cannot be postponed. Volunteers also receive a weekly e-newsletter with updates and information on volunteer activities. Do you have a talent for computers, data entry, filing, etc.? Remember to help our administrative team! All computer-savvy volunteers are welcome. We are moving to an exciting new online training portal for new volunteers! Please note that we will not be able to accept youth volunteers during this transition period. Together, we will make progress in rescuing homeless and neglected pets in our community. Volunteer shifts at our humanitarian centre typically last one to two hours between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Sunday and Monday and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday to Saturday. They usually host one to two or more volunteers if all participants live in the same household. For example, the human core layers: The Texas SPCA offers age-appropriate volunteer opportunities for youth ages 10-17, and families are invited to volunteer their time together. We ask volunteers under the age of 15 to bring a parent or guardian who is at least 21 years old to all volunteer shifts. Shelter Intake Assistants: Shelter Intake Assistants are responsible for answering calls from the public, answering basic questions and routing calls, performing pet demonstrations for potential adopters, directing traffic, ensuring the desk is needed and tidy, eliminating pet accidents that occur at the front desk, check the main line`s voicemail; Check the TSPCA email account (info@tulsaspca.org). Students will not only change the lives of thousands of animals, but will also have the opportunity to supplement their charitable hours for school through our student volunteer program. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old. We require a commitment of four hours of voluntary service per month for at least six months. The Tulsa SPCA has minimum requirements for our volunteer program to ensure that all volunteers are a good fit for our organization and to ensure that we provide the best volunteer experience possible. We strive to offer a comprehensive training program to ensure our volunteers feel safe and adequately prepared for their work with us and our animals. Shelter Storage: This voluntary opportunity helps pet care staff by keeping the shelter clean. This could be done by sweeping sweeping, mop, organizing, or other things that shelter staff need help with.
Vaccination clinic assistance: This volunteer opportunity will assist clients during immunization clinic days, organize patients, tidy them and anything else clinic staff may need. The volunteer must follow a basic orientation and a clinical orientation. Kennel Cleaning: This volunteer opportunity helps our pet care staff by helping with dishes, laundry, kennel cleaning and/or feeding. Richmond SPCA volunteers must commit to serving four hours per month for a period of four months. To stay active after the four months, you need to do at least one shift every three months. If you do not meet these requirements, the account will be deactivated and, to resume volunteering, you will need to start the application process all over again. Clinic Cleaning – This voluntary opportunity will help keep the clinic reception and lobby clean. This can be done by sweeping or cleaning or other things that clinic staff need help with (in unrestricted areas).
Please note that court-ordered community service or Polk hours of work are NOT part of the volunteer program. We do not currently offer hours for court-ordered community service or Polk Works. Volunteering with the Second Chance SPCA is a rewarding experience, but it`s also a challenging role and should be taken seriously. To ensure the safety of our staff, volunteers and animals, volunteers must meet the qualifications listed below. Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the SPCA Placer! Participating in virtual volunteer orientation is the first step in helping pets find their forever home. Orientation registration is required to become a Placer SPCA volunteer. Texas SPCA volunteers give their hearts and time to make every day special for the animals waiting for a loving home. Follow the instructions on the form and contact the Volunteer Manager – Lea Harvey at Lharvey@spcaflorida.org – to make an appointment to collect your donations. Once your application and background check (if applicable) have been reviewed, we will contact you by email to register for our new volunteer orientation session. Orientation usually takes place twice a month. You will learn more about campus and what you can expect as a volunteer. Please complete the appropriate online volunteer application below: If you require a court-appointed community service, please visit spca.org/support-us/volunteer/court-ordered-service/ to pay the associated fee and we will email you the application. Our small but powerful organization brings together people from diverse backgrounds to reduce the number of adoptable animals euthanized daily in urban shelters. As a member of our team of volunteers, you will see and feel the difference your support allows. Yes! We welcome small groups of up to 10 volunteers to serve with us.
The volunteers of the group (companies, schools, religious and/or civil society organizations) support the organization and do not work directly with the animals.
